Ogun Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has described his state as the most industrialised in Nigeria, justifying his statement with the number of successful industries sited in the state.
The governor announced that hundreds of industries involved in the production of different items are located in the state, and are peacefully doing their businesses and contributing to the socio-economic development of the state.
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has approved the construction of a 10,000-seater stadium in Eket town in Eket Local Government Area of the state.
The Commissioner for Sport, Mr. Monday Ukoh, who inspected the old Eket Stadium on Wednesday, said the new facility would be completed before the end of May 2018.
Ukoh told reporters that the stadium would have tartan tracks and a practice pitch.
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum has said the Governor of Zamfara State, Mr. Abdulaziz Yari, has no property in Lagos State.
The NGF also stated that its chairman, Yari, had no link with the controversial $3m worth of hotel in the state.The NGF, stated this in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.The NGF was responding to an interim forfeiture order by a Federal High Court that the sums of N500m and $500,000 said to have been looted from the Paris Club loan refunds given to the 36 states by the Federal Government.
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has advised the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and its Acting Chairman Ibrahim Mustafa Magu to stop “shadow-boxing” and leave Dr Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, governor of Zamfara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, to face his job.In a statement by Head, Media & Public Affairs, Nigeria Governors’ Forum Secretariat, Abulrazque Barkindo, the forum said Yari had for the umpteenth time told the commission that he neither owns a plot of land in Lagos nor owns or intends to build a hotel in Lagos.
