Ogun most industrialised state in Nigeria, says governor

Ogun Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has described his state as the most industrialised in Nigeria, justifying his statement with the number of successful industries sited in the state.
The governor announced that hundreds of industries involved in the production of different items are located in the state, and are peacefully doing their businesses and contributing to the socio-economic development of the state.

The governor, who addressed newsmen in Abuja shortly after receiving the letter of approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the establishment of the Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology in Abeokuta, said the state, aside being the most industrialised in Nigeria, is home to best education opportunities in the country. He attributed the success to the efforts of the forefathers of the state as well as the conducive and profitable business environment provided by the government through its well thought out policies and programmes.

He encouraged interested investors, local and foreign, to disregard negative information about the state and take advantage of peace, security and conducive environment to commit their fortunes and expect bountiful returns.

Ogun shares unidentifiable boundary with Lagos State. As a result, investors who could not get a space to establish their businesses in Lagos always take advantage of the proximity to establish their companies in the state, thus creating job opportunities and boosting economic activities in the state.
