Barr. Chijioke Chuku facilitated the 2022 Management Retreat of the National Judicial Council (NJC) at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja on Thursday 4th February 2022.
In a stirring presentation to the leadership of NJC on the Roles and Responsibilities of the NJC relative to their constitutional powers to implement Judicial autonomy across the country, Barrister Chuku enjoined the NJC to not only rely on the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 which clearly spells out the autonomy of the judiciary but also encouraged them to partner with the Nigeria Governors Forum in ensuring that autonomy is implemented in the States and the Federal Government.
The NJC expressed gratitude to Barr Chuku for the great facilitation and promised to work with the NGF in achieving autonomy for the judiciary.
