The Director-General of NGF, Mr. Asishana Okauru was at Good Morning Nigeria today speaking about the SFTAS Program. He said that at the heart of the SFTAS program is the need to ensure sustainability.
The World Bank and Federal Government leveraged governors from the Secretariat. It was clear and deliberate.
Through our collaboration, we have adopted a global standard. By the National Chart of Accounts, the government has gotten all 36 states on board. It’s now possible to prepare budgets and compare from state to state.
The Director-General of NGF, Mr. Asishana Okauru said that the SFTAS program was put in place to benefit the states. He emphasized that the forum engaged others to help package technical assistance for the states.
The program has helped in bridging a gap and it requires institutional mechanisms on the ground for things to work effectively.
