Gov Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has announced plans to better the welfare of local government workers in the state.
Ishaku disclosed this on Thursday at the 40th year anniversary of the Taraba chapter of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), held at the NULGE House Jalingo.
Ishaku explained that his government was poised to uplifting the living condition of people at grassroot, which according to him local workers were the main link for government to actualise the plan.
Represented by Mr Obida James, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Labour Matters, Ishaku said his administration had already mapped out plans to raise the financial standard of local government workers.
