Today, the Benue State Government inaugurated the newly constituted Chairmen and Members of the Board of Tertiary Institutions at the Old Banquet Hall, Government House, Makurdi. The ceremony underscored the government's commitment to advancing the educational sector within the state.
In his address, the Governor emphasized the critical role that education plays in society, highlighting that tertiary institutions are pivotal in shaping the minds of the youth. "Education is the bedrock of our society, and our tertiary institutions play a key role in shaping the minds of our youth," he stated.
The newly appointed board members have been entrusted with the significant mandate of enhancing and refining policies to propel the state's institutions toward global excellence. The Governor reiterated the importance of building robust linkages with both local and international educational bodies to adopt best practices and innovative approaches.
"Collaboration will provide our institutions with new insights, resources, and opportunities for growth, ensuring our students receive the highest quality education," he added.
