Firm Empowers 56 Kaduna Youths, Offers Automatic Employment
Waste management company engaged by the Kaduna State government, ZL Global Alliance Nigeria Limited has empowered no fewer than 56 youths in various trades and offered them automatic employment.
The empowered youths which also include the physically challenged were given vulcanising machines, shoe cobbling tools, wheel barrows, tables, chairs and recharge cards under the Bin Security Guards (BSG) scheme of the company. Speaking on the essence of the empowerment, the managing director and chief executive officer of the company, Dr Abiola Bashorun said the empowerment was part of the company’s ways of giving back to the society and taking the youths out of the streets.
She further said that the gesture was also to compliment the good efforts of the state governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai towards making Kaduna State great again. The managing director who was represented by the company’s consultant and compliance officer, Hajiya Hauwa Umar and Abubakar Abdulwahab respectively, also disclosed that those empowered will be enrolled into the pay roll of the company, while they are doing their business with the tools given to them free of charge.
They will also act as security guards to the roro bin at the collection points nearer to them. They reiterated that the empowered youths were those selected from the skills acquisition programme organised by the company earlier this year.
Speaking also at the brief occasion, which held at the Kaduna office of the company, the general manager of Kaduna Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA) Alhaji Yusuf Rigasa commended the good initiative of the waste management company. According to him, Governor el-Rufai did not make mistake by engaging ZL Global Alliance because the company has over time proved its worth by not only delivering on its mandates but even going beyond by giving back to the society.
“This company has performed and still performing tremendously and as a government agency, we are satisfied with their services and urge them to sustain the good work,” he said. Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, one of the physically challenged, Hussaini Hussaini commended the company for the gesture.
