Over the weekend, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal visited flood-affected communities to conduct an on-the-spot assessment. Demonstrating swift and compassionate leadership, he donated N100 million and 10,000 bags of grains to assist the victims.
Governor Lawal expressed deep sympathy for those impacted by the flooding and assured them of the government's commitment to finding a lasting solution. He revealed that a team of engineers had already surveyed the affected areas to devise preventive measures. Work is set to begin soon to mitigate the risk of future floods.
